The Verkhovna Rada complains to the West about aggressive Russian journalists
Kyiv, June 16 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday adopted an appeal to Western structures with a complaint about the work of Russian journalists, who, according to Ukrainian deputies, are waging an aggressive information war against official Kyiv.

The document adopted by the deputies is called “On the appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to
International Federation of Journalists, European Federation of Journalists, Association of European Journalists, international organization “Reporters Without Borders”, International Olympic Committee on information and psychological aggression carried out by the media of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.”
“The Russian Federation is waging a coordinated and targeted information war against Ukraine. In particular, in order to manipulate public consciousness in Ukraine and abroad, unreliable, incomplete and biased information about Ukraine is being disseminated through the Russian media.
The key objectives of such an information and psychological operation are: the demoralization of the population of Ukraine, the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as inducing them to state betrayal and defection to the opposing side, the formation among citizens of Ukraine and Russia of a distorted vision of the events taking place, rather than their actual causes and consequences.
At the same time, all methods of information and psychological warfare are used – from posting biased information and half-truths to outright lies,” Ukrainian politicians complain.
