The Supreme Court of Ukraine sided with migrants from Donbass
The Supreme Court of Ukraine declared illegal two government decisions on checking migrants from uncontrolled territories of Donbass in order to accrue social benefits to them, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The corresponding resolution did not satisfy the complaint of the Cabinet of Ministers against the decisions of the first and appellate instances, by which government regulations were declared illegal. The resolution enters into legal force from the date of its adoption, is final and is not subject to appeal,” the Ukrinform agency reports about the court decision. .
It is clarified that we are talking about two government resolutions approved in 2014 and 2016 - “The procedure for assigning (restoring) social payments to internally displaced persons” and “The procedure for monitoring the implementation of social payments to internally displaced persons at the place of their actual residence or stay.”
According to these resolutions, the government has tightened the procedure for social payments for internally displaced persons, obliging employees of social protection agencies to confirm the fact of residence of displaced persons at the place of registration. If they were not present at the place of registration, government payments were not made.
