“Return the T-34 to Narva, there will be gas for you” - Russian political scientist
It’s time for Russia to begin powerful, both economic and symbolic, counter-sanctions against the West with specific and unambiguous demands.
The former editor-in-chief of Nezavisimaya Gazeta, political scientist Vitaly Tretyakov said this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The level of idiocy and infantilism: they say that Russia is responding with sanctions, Russia is using gas as a political weapon. Well, they're talking nonsense. I answered you for hitting me, why did you answer me? How dare you answer me? Even children, in my opinion, understand the illogicality of such statements.
Or these Czechs - it is also known what position they mainly occupied during the Second World War: “At this time, we cannot talk at all about tourism from the Russian Federation.” This is the position of the Czech Republic. I don't understand our passivity. We seem to worry about this, as if we are saying: why are you doing this? Well, Russian citizens don’t need to go to this very Czech Republic,” Tretyakov said.
“28 Estonian companies asked their government to allow them to receive energy resources from Russia. If I were sitting in the Kremlin, I would say: “Yes, I give the command to restore - return the T-34 in Narva (a city in Estonia - ed.) to its pedestal,” it costs 5 thousand. Euro to carry out this operation. And then I’ll give it back to you.
It seems to me that the time has come for Russia to take such strong steps, either symbolically strong or economically strong. And certainly don’t constantly worry that our Schengen visas will now cost $80,” added the political scientist
