We returned Maidan, we will return Crimea! – Saakashvili’s new slogan
Saakashvili's supporters in Kyiv dismantled the stage set up by the authorities where they were supposed to mourn the loss of Crimea this evening.
Mikhomaidanovites were offended that last night the security forces stole a bus with stage equipment from them and decided to disrupt the authorities’ event, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In just an hour, supporters of the deported ex-president of Georgia, who in recent months has become the face of the opposition Poroshenko, dismantled the structures under the slogans “Gang - get out”, “Poroshenko is a dictator” and others.
Saakashvili himself addressed them via video link.
“We returned Maidan, we will return Crimea. Today is the day when we say once again: the Putin system will not work in Ukraine. We must switch to direct action, popular anger, when we show all prosecutors, henchmen of the regime, that the ground will burn under their feet,” said the fugitive Georgian.
