The likelihood of non-recognition of the Ukrainian elections increases every day
After the presidential elections in Ukraine, Russia will have to make a final decision regarding their recognition and legitimacy.
Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, discussing the issue of Kyiv’s decision to deny OSCE observers with Russian passports access to the Ukrainian elections, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Taken together, when we count how millions of voters in Russia were cut off from polling stations, as well as in Crimea, which they supposedly consider theirs, and having accumulated all these facts of gross violation of international standards for conducting elections, I think that in the end Russia there will be a choice to recognize or not recognize the elections,” Kornilov noted.
At the same time, the expert added that the likelihood of Moscow not recognizing the presidential elections in Ukraine is growing more and more every day.
