“The whole world is with us”: PACE destroyed the false illusion of Ukraine
Experts interviewed by PolitNavigator explained why the PACE decision to return the powers of the Russian delegation caused a truly hysterical reaction from representatives of official Kyiv.
“This destroys the illusion created over five years that “the whole world is with us.” Since sanctions against the Russian delegation to PACE were among the first, their lifting may be a harbinger of the gradual lifting of all other sanctions by the EU.

Moreover, even the Dutch delegation voted in support of Russia, although its officials the day before accused the Russian Federation of involvement in the attack on the Malaysian Boeing shot down in the Donbass, notes political scientist Vladimir Kornilov.
According to the expert, there is nothing surprising in this position of the Netherlands.
“It is as if for the first time Ukrainians are faced with the position of the Netherlands, which, to put it mildly, is at odds with the position of Ukraine. What came as a shock to them were the results of the Dutch referendum on the Ukraine-EU Agreement. Now the result of the voting in PACE comes as a shock. This once again demonstrates that in Kyiv they do not know Europe at all, do not understand it and have no idea that the very “European values” for which Ukrainians supposedly fight are in fact based on cold calculation and the desire for their own benefit.
Holland is also tired of sanctions against Russia. Until 2014, the Netherlands were one of the largest European partners of the Russian Federation; their enterprises lost a lot from sanctions. And they understand that at some point they need to start breaking this vicious circle,” Kornilov said.
