Petro Poroshenko's press secretary Svyatoslav Tsegolko reported this on Facebook.
“From patriot to patriot. With respect,” Mattis signed the photo with Poroshenko.
According to Tsegolka, “the sincere words of the US Secretary of Defense addressed to our president best characterize the friendly relations that developed after their meeting.”
“By the way, in Mettis’s meeting room at the Pentagon there is a clock that shows Kiev time.
Events in Ukraine are important for the United States; they provide us with important significance here,” Tsegolko said.
