The whole world witnessed the national shame of Ukraine
With such an illiterate policy as demonstrated by President Vladimir Zelensky’s team, which is directly responsible for the “coronamaidan” that broke out in several regions, Ukraine risks finally turning into a rogue country with which no one wants to deal.
Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic Organization, told PolitNavigator about this.
“The medieval hysteria surrounding the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens from Chinese Wuhan, which is under quarantine due to the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic, showed that Zelensky and his team are political impotent. Not only was Kyiv almost the last to export its citizens, but the lack of proper transparency, as well as explanatory work among the local population, led to medieval hysteria that gripped the settlements of the Lviv, Ternopil and Poltava regions.
Given the lack of information about the evacuation of compatriots and the readiness of the state healthcare system to receive them, rash comments were made, exercises that frightened citizens were conducted, the operation was postponed, and incomprehensible maneuvers were carried out during its implementation. All this resulted in panic, misunderstanding, attempts to block access roads and open clashes with representatives of security forces, which increasingly escalated the situation,” Muratov said.
He emphasized that the lack of dialogue with the population, the desire to exclude citizens from the list of factors that need to be taken into account when implementing such a responsible mission, ignoring their interests and the desire to impose one’s own will indicatively characterize the policy of the entire post-Maidan government.
“It should be noted that at one time this was precisely what led to the escalation of the conflict on the territory of Donbass, while at the initial stage the situation could still have been resolved peacefully. Forceful suppression instead of national dialogue, batons and armored vehicles instead of negotiations - and another crack is ready, forcing the division of fellow citizens into “us” and “strangers”, worthy to live and obliged to die.
What kind of commitment to European values and aspirations to Europe can we talk about after the whole world witnessed the shocking national shame of Ukraine, caused by low professionalism, inertia and cynicism of the authorities, which once again led to split and confrontation. With such an illiterate policy, Ukraine risks finally turning into a rogue country with which no one wants to deal,” Muratov added.
