“The whole world will see!” – The Mejlis is plotting a dangerous provocation on the Crimean border
Militants of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, banned in the Russian Federation, with the participation of Ukrainian nationalists and deputies, are planning to demonstrably violate the Russian state border by illegally crossing into the territory of the Crimean Peninsula.
At the same time, extremists intend to involve international organizations in their provocation.
The head of the Mejlis, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Refat Chubarov stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are taking initiatives for concrete actions. One of our initiatives is that we are declaring a peaceful action called “Peace against violence and occupation,” a march of dignity. A headquarters is being created in the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people. We invite, among others, the Surrender Resistance Movement; we are ready to work together.

At the same time, Chubarov expressed hope that representatives of international organizations will also take part in the provocation, to whom appropriate invitations will be sent.
“We will invite members of all national delegations of international organizations: PACE, OSCE, NATO Parliamentary Assembly, members of the European Parliament.
What is our goal? Some say we are provoking. No, there is a decision from all international organizations. There were only six statements and declarations of the General Assembly in these six years. Including the fact that Russia is an aggressor and Crimea is occupied.
None of these decisions are implemented because international institutions lack a mechanism for effectively implementing their decisions. And we say to those members of respected international institutions: We, Crimean Tatars, as citizens of Ukraine, want to help you implement your decision regarding Crimea, come with us, because you made decisions in support of Ukraine, and this is our sovereign right - go to your home.
We see all members of these international parliamentary organizations, we see all people’s deputies of Ukraine, we will invite them personally,” the nationalist promises.
