Spring aggravation: After missile threats, Trump offered cooperation to Russia
US President Donald Trump said he wants to help Russia in the economic sphere. A friendly tweet was posted following belligerent message threatening to launch “new and smart” missiles into Syria, where the Russian bases are located.
"Our relationship with Russia is worse than ever, and that includes the Cold War." There is no reason for this. Russia needs us to help with their economy, which would be very easy to do, and we need all nations to work together. Stop the arms race?" Trump wrote.
The Russian Internet continues to have fun about this, noting that Trump's two messages were published 40 minutes apart.
“It seems Donald forcibly took his smartphone away from Bolton (John Bolton, "hawk", adviser to the US President - ed.). Well, or the guy’s bipolar disorder has worsened,” wrote publicist Yegor Kholmogorov in his telegram channel.
And journalist Maxim Kononenkov suggested that Trump is “just a drunk.”
