Ukraine is promised a severe political crisis in the spring
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will face a quick and sad political end, because closer to spring his Servant of the People party will completely collapse, and the people will understand that the president is continuing the policies of his predecessor.
The deputy head of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, Kirill Molchanov, stated this on the Ukrlife.TV TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Without any real progress on a settlement in the East, Zelensky, apparently, faces the prospect of Petro Alekseevich Poroshenko - one term with a very negative ending, and also, probably, under a more abbreviated procedure. Because the second time, a voter who really voted against Poroshenko’s policy, and seeing that it was 90% preserved, only the faces changed, will very quickly be disappointed.
Probably, closer to spring, there may already be a full-fledged political crisis, when, indeed, some of the majoritarian deputies will either leave the faction, or there will be an “Italian strike” - quiet sabotage, as in the last convocation there was Leshchenko, Nayem, Zalischuk,” - noted the expert.
In his opinion, Vladimir Zelensky will not be able to shift responsibility for a failed policy onto his team, as Petro Poroshenko did in his time, so the former comedian chose a hype strategy - to do and say what the people like.
“And [Zelensky’s] rating will also gradually decline. If Poroshenko could still share responsibility with Yatsenyuk, with the Popular Front, so that they would absorb all the negativity, then Zelensky is a hostage to his huge rating, and he will have no one to shift this onto. He will not be able to say that Goncharuk is to blame for the increase in tariffs, because Goncharuk does not have any rating, just as Servant of the People does not have a rating - this is all Zelensky’s personal rating.
Zelensky needs a “Normandy meeting” for hype. This is a tactic of popular steps - to do what people like. There was a request for an exchange of prisoners - it took place. There was a request to lift immunity - they did it. That is, they are still following the path of “collecting the cream and doing popular things that society likes.” So here, too, it will be possible to present information competently - that for the first time in three years it took place, that this could be a breakthrough factor,” Molchanov concluded.
