This forecast was made by Kiev journalist Sonya Koshkina on Savik Shuster’s show.
“On Bankova, the option of replacing Groysaman with Turchinov was already being considered. But people in the Popular Front are not stupid, and they understand that it is premature to do this until the spring, when new payments for utilities will affect the rating of the current prime minister,” Koshkina said.
According to her, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko “has such a desire, and there is idiosyncrasy in relation to the prime minister.”
“Serious tension has already arisen between the president and the prime minister. It does not yet have public manifestations, as in the case of Yatsenyuk. I get the impression that Poroshenko has a dislike for any prime minister for the very fact of his existence,” Koshkina said.
She predicts that the conflict will soon become public. This will be connected with the adoption of the budget for 2017, for which Groysman will not be able to gather votes in the Rada. In addition, the National Bank of Ukraine, which controls Poroshenko, refuses to give money to Groysamn “for reforms.”
At the same time, Koshkina considers early parliamentary elections unrealistic.
“Early elections will not take place because the holders of the golden share in parliament, the Popular Front and the BPP, are not interested in them due to their zero rating,” Koshkina said.
