Kyiv, September 17 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Economist Bohdan Gavrylyshyn, a veteran of the Ukrainian nationalist movement, called for the abandonment of the unitary structure of Ukraine in favor of a confederation.

“I believe that a confederal structure would be more suitable for Ukraine, rather than a unitary one. So that every community, every city, every region has the right to tax its residents. The government should collect taxes for defense, foreign policy and its existence, and all other areas, such as social security, pensions, should be covered by taxes collected at the lowest level,” Havrylyshyn said.
