“For three years, Senator Klintsevich, using his administrative resources, has been trying to destroy our organization, Vladimir Vladimirovich, trying to seize property and split the veteran movement among the disabled. But at the same time, for some reason, he praises Volodin and says that yes, thanks to Volodin’s support, they took money from disabled people for rehabilitation and transferred it to the organization headed by Klintsevich himself.
But the most egregious thing, Vladimir Vladimirovich, here, in this letter, Klintsevich indicates Volodin as the legal successor of the President of the Russian Federation. You see, he verbally calls and scares our members of the organization, leaders and officials in the regions, saying that Volodin will soon be president, will give immense powers to Klintsevich - and Klintsevich will simply roll up all those undesirable and bury them alive in the grave,” Chepurnoy said.
Putin had to react.
“I think that the Afghans will not be frightened by any statements like “we’ll roll up.” This is, firstly. Secondly, the president's successor is determined only by the Russian people during democratic elections - and no one else. Thirdly, this is the first time I’ve heard that there is some kind of conflict between you in this environment. I’ll try to figure this out,” Putin said.
