According to volunteer Oksana Vandich, sellers are forced to sell alcohol to the military, fearing threats from them.

“A salesman with a sweet smile sells two men in military uniform (already tipsy) another portion of alcohol. To the question: “Have you heard about the city council’s order banning the sale of alcohol to people in military uniform?”, the seller replied: “How can I refuse them,” and the men in uniform began to poke their UBD certificates in their faces - we can do anything.” – Vandich said.
