Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the Decree “On a one-time payment to certain categories of citizens of the Russian Federation permanently residing in the territories of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of South Ossetia and Transnistria, in connection with the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.”
This was reported on the official website of the Kremlin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In connection with the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, I decide to make a one-time payment in May–June 2020 to veterans and disabled people of the Great Patriotic War - citizens of the Russian Federation permanently residing in the territories of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of South Ossetia and Transnistria ", says the Decree.
Russian State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin said that Russian legislators will do everything so that every Pridnestrovian can obtain Russian citizenship.
“For those who find themselves in Russia, all claims to renounce the citizenship of Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, and Kazakhstan have been removed. The next step that we hope to take during our term as deputy is to convince our executive power that it is necessary to provide an opportunity for those who meet the category of “compatriot” to obtain a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation without relocating to Russia.
Don’t demand from him that he sever all ties with his state of residence,” Zatulin said, speaking at an online scientific conference.
