“The automated radiation complex “Yantar” went off yesterday at the Boryspil airport. The activation of an automated complex for monitoring radiation radiation on the luggage of a Vietnamese citizen was recorded by border guards at the Separate checkpoint “Kyiv,” the message says.

Based on the results of a control measurement by a representative of the environmental service of the radiation level using a dosimeter, it was found that the radiation level of the luggage was 2,5 mSv/h (the norm is 0,30-0,50 μSv/h).

As experts have found out, the source of radiation is a table clock made in 1984, with which the Vietnamese was planning to fly to Moscow. As the man explained, he allegedly purchased this watch at one of the local markets.
