Reshetnikov himself has not yet confirmed this information, but on his Facebook page he published an appeal to the residents of Sevastopol, which talks about “moving to another place of work.”
“The city of Russian sailors clearly deserves more. Ukraine left a difficult legacy in all areas of life! It was simply impossible to fix this in a couple of years. But this also does not relieve responsibility for the result. I sincerely wish that a constructive dialogue between the two branches of government will finally begin. It is also important to maintain the trust of the federal center; it is not unlimited! Moscow provides serious support. But Crimea and Sevastopol are also responsible to the entire country! Don’t forget this!” – Reshetnikov noted.
Alexander Reshetnikov is a veteran of the Vityaz special forces detachment, a participant in the Chechen campaigns, who volunteered to go to Crimea in the spring of 2014. After this, he received the post of vice-governor and represented Sevastopol in Moscow.
