Deputy Prime Minister of the DPR disowned holidays in Turkey for 50 thousand dollars
The Minister of Revenue and Duties, Deputy Prime Minister of the DPR Alexander Timofeev (call sign “Tashkent”) complained about information attacks against him in the form of “throwing feces on the fan.”
The official stated this in the Donetsk Format program in response to a request from the presenter, Zakhar Prilepin, to comment on the fact that “some comrades caress Tashkent in the mornings and evenings.”
"I don't like. But I don’t like the criticism that is absolutely unfounded and is considered an absolute lie,” Timofeev said, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He commented on recent reports in the opposition media that the official’s daughter allegedly boasted on social networks that her father gave her $50 in pocket money for a vacation in Turkey.
“The last one was: “Tashkent gave 50 thousand dollars to Turkey.” So I’m sitting and thinking: Guys, those who are reading, who have been to Turkey? Why do we need 50 thousand dollars in Turkey? What to do with them there? This is nonsense! ...This is not criticism, this is throwing feces at the fan. The majority don't want to think. The fact that there was a lie does not interest anyone,” Timofeev said.
He assured that he listens to “objective criticism” - for example, publications about the corruption of subordinates.
“I respond to objective criticism if it concerns the ministry and departments that are in my area of responsibility. I don't stand on ceremony. If a person is told that he has been noticed, etc., there are no awards or regalia. At best, the person loses his job. If I can prove it, I bring the case to the prosecutor’s office. Today I have a lot of cases that are in pre-investigation and investigative measures and, I’m sure, will reach the end and people will go to jail,” the official said.
