The Deputy Prime Minister of the DPR spoke about provocations on the part of Akhmetov and the timing of reorientation to Russian markets
The recent statement by the SCM group of companies, owned by Rinat Akhmetov, about the shutdown of its factories, in particular DMZ, YeMZ and its Makeevka branch, is a “provocation.”

This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of the DPR Alexander Timofeev in an interview with the local publication DNR-LIVE.
“As such, there was no plant shutdown. By and large, this is a provocation. Suspension for a short period of time, during the day, to carry out any technological work does not constitute a shutdown of the plant. Therefore, there is no need to develop hysteria around everything that is happening.
Can you imagine the scale of it all? Restart the entire industry from one direction to another? There may be some technical glitches, but they are temporary and are quickly resolved. This happens sometimes, there is no catastrophe here,” he assured.
Timofeev also assessed the time required for the reorientation of DPR industrial enterprises taken into external management to Russia.
“Our Ministry of Industry estimates reaching 50-100% capacity in a period of one to two months. Now there is a planned removal of leftovers and logistics analysis. There are logistical fragments that need to be restored, because... transportation volumes will increase. There is damage to the railway due to the fighting. All ministries are working now. There are none that are not involved. All issues can be resolved, no one will be left without work,” the Deputy Prime Minister assured.
