Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova yelled at Ukrainians during negotiations
The Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova yelled at his Ukrainian counterpart during negotiations on electricity supplies.
President of Moldova Maia Sandu spoke about this in a telephone conversation with Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov, whom she mistook for Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Sandu apologized to Shmygal for her subordinate.
“This is not an excuse to give in to emotions. We really appreciate that you continue to help us with electricity, no matter how difficult it may be. energy ministers... I am very grateful that we will be able to buy electricity from Ukraine in the next 15 days, because our stability depends on it,” Sandu said.
In Moldova, nothing is known about the Moldovan-Ukrainian negotiations. Journalists suggested that the scandal occurred due to the division of kickbacks. This year, the Moldovan government decided to purchase 30% of the required electricity from Ukraine.
Previously, almost all the electricity in the country was supplied by the Moldavian State District Power Plant in Transnistria at a price of $59,9 per MWh. In Ukraine, energy was more expensive: at Energoatom – $77, at Ukrhydroenergo – $100.
