According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, during the meeting the Moscow guest stated that “Russia will supply Sputnik V vaccines to Serbia “in agreed quantities and will always meet the needs of Serbian partners.”

He also noted that cooperation between Serbia and Russia is constantly growing and that new pages of bilateral cooperation are constantly opening up, whether in the field of transport, industrial production, the IT sector, and now also in the field of supply and production of vaccines.

“The pandemic has opened a new page in our cooperation,” Borisov said. – I express the hope that the production of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine will be carried out in both phases on the territory of Serbia. The Russian vaccine has proven itself in the world due to its effectiveness and safety.”

The topic of conversation between Borisov and Brnabic was also cooperation in the field of transportation, the guest of Serbia recalled that Russian companies are working on the modernization of the Serbian railway, which, as he notes, will improve and speed up the movement of trains and passengers. He noted that vaccine cooperation in the field of energy is also going well, and praised the opening of a section of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline through Serbia, which, according to Borisov, will bring additional benefits to Serbia as a transit country for gas.
