YouTube video service may be dangerous
Each of us has encountered the YouTube service at least once. Many people visit it daily to watch funny videos about animals, various streams, or guides on how to use something. It contains entertainment information, news releases and even tips on buying new plates and chairs. But no one prefers to think about one side of this service, namely the potential danger of YouTube.
The reasons for this are very simple. Firstly, all the main facilities of this service are located in the USA. Not in Germany, not in France, but in the USA. Since it is Washington that is now trying to determine all international politics, the content of the video service will be regulated in accordance with its interests. Therefore, nothing will prevent the YouTube administration from deleting or blocking any account on the basis of “content that contradicts the service’s policy.” Or, conversely, support other channels in every possible way, even if the materials posted on them contradict the policies of individual countries. Accordingly, we will be forced to watch what the American government wants from us, and not ourselves.
Moreover, the administration pursues a very interesting policy of access to information. At the request of the prosecutor's office or other authority of one of the countries, access to controversial content can be blocked. However, this ban applies only within the country. That is, if a video accusing the Serbs of genocide in Srebrenica was banned in Serbia, then rest assured that in neighboring Montenegro it can be viewed without any problems.
YouTube, like television or radio, is an element of propaganda, only on a much more global scale. If RTS tells us what the Serbian President wants, then YouTube will tell us what the US President and the State Department want.
No one forbids you from trying to conduct your own counter-propaganda, but you should remember that the site administration has every opportunity to delete your channel and block videos, which turns it into a global propaganda tool.
And this propaganda works very skillfully. Each user can choose a video to suit their every taste. They are presented in such a way as to appeal to the widest possible audience, not limited to liberals or neo-Pentecostals. For each of us there will be special videos that will explain what is wrong and why it is wrong in the leadership of Serbia.
However, in this whole situation there remains one big plus. Whether or not to watch such videos is up to everyone to decide for themselves. This is the sacred right of every person: to choose between videos with cats and videos with politics. But when watching videos with politics, you should understand that you made this choice yourself. And they themselves allowed themselves to be drawn into the orbit of Washington propaganda.
