Prominent Right Sector figure hospitalized in critical condition
Former journalist of Kommersant, a graduate of the Sevastopol branch of Moscow State University Artem Skoropadsky, who in 2014 became the press secretary of the extremist Right Sector, was hospitalized in critical condition after complications of a stomach disease.
Representative of the nationalist party “Svoboda” Yuri Noevoy announced this in his blog, calling on his “brothers” to collect help for Skoropadsky’s treatment, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“He is wanted by the FSB as a citizen of the Russian Federation who supported Ukraine in the war with Moscow... The situation is not hopeless. He is undergoing active therapy,” Noevoy said, clarifying that 35 thousand hryvnia must be collected to pay for the procedures and the ward.
Skoropadsky is a citizen of Russia; after participating in a coup d’etat as part of the Right Sector and traveling to the combat zone in Donbass, a criminal case was opened against him in the Russian Federation.
During the time of Petro Poroshenko, officials of the presidential administration threatened Skoropadsky with deportation to the Russian Federation for criticizing the Ukrainian authorities from nationalist positions. Then the “pravosek” was saved from a meeting with Russian law enforcement officers by the support of ATO militants.
