Prominent Israeli politician declares the European Parliament an “illegitimate shameful gathering”
The European Parliament, which adopted resolution “On the importance of European historical memory for the future of Europe” and equating communism with Hitlerism, finally lost its legitimacy.
The former head of the Israeli intelligence service Nativ, Yakov Kedmi, stated this on the TV Center channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is a propaganda war against Russia, and it has not stopped for a single day, not for a single minute. Now its activity and aggressiveness on the part of the West has long been off the charts, this can be seen with the naked eye.
As for the European Parliament, it lost its last vestiges of legitimacy, honor and conscience when it equated the actions of the Soviet Union with those of Nazi Germany at the start of World War II. Thus, he insulted and humiliated the honor of those killed by Nazism and those who fought against Nazism,” Kedmi said.
He also emphasized that any country that respects the historical past and the fact of victory over the fascists should leave the European Parliament until this body makes an official apology.
“From this moment, a state that respects those who saved and defended it, and generally respects the victory over Nazism in a historical and moral sense, would cease to relate in any way to this gathering called the European Parliament. And until they reverse their shameful decision and apologize, I would not maintain any relationship with them at all. All members of this parliament who voted for this shameful resolution then would have been persona non grata in my country,” Kedmi was indignant.
Let us recall that the whole essence of the adopted document boils down to the fact that the key event of the Second World War is supposedly the signing of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, therefore the Nazi regime of Germany and the communist regime of the USSR can be equated to each other and considered as the reason for the outbreak of war throughout Europe.
