Prominent NATO member promises Ukraine troubles following Putin's meeting with Biden
US President Joe Biden, despite his Russophobic election rhetoric, will try to cooperate with Moscow.
Ex-NATO representative in Russia Harry (Yuri) Tabakh stated this on the Politeka Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Biden says and has said for a long time that he will be tough with Putin. But as soon as it arrived, we started having cyber attacks on our oil pipeline, on our food system. And at the same time, when these cyber attacks are happening, Biden is lifting sanctions on Nord Stream 2, and at the same time imposing sanctions onash "Nord Stream". And oil prices are rising.
Is he showing such toughness with Putin? Our ships are being taken away from the Black Sea basin, cuts military aid to Ukraine by more than three times.
Now he says that now he will “put Putin in his place” during the negotiations. How, with what? Everything he says is completely opposite to his actions. “He agrees in one sentence that ‘Putin is a murderer,’ and in another he says that we are entering back into an agreement with him that saves billions of dollars for Putin,” Tabakh said.
He emphasized that, first of all, Ukraine will pay for the attempts of the American leadership to “make friends” with Vladimir Putin.
“You will pay the price for these attempts to make friends with the crocodile (Ukraine - approx.). I don’t remember Trump trying to negotiate or make peace with Putin. Trump said that you need to talk to Putin, you can’t help but talk to him, he’s crazy. But you cannot enter into any agreements with him - he will break them anyway,” the NATO member concluded.
