Prominent Ukrainian Natsik made an unexpected statement
The founder of the Azov National Battalion, Verkhovna Rada deputy and head of the National Corps party Andrei Biletsky said that he will not put forward his candidacy in the presidential elections. He said this at a briefing during the congress in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It makes no sense for us to waste time on the oligarchic farce that will now be called presidential elections,” Biletsky said.
He emphasized that the National Corps will not support any of the candidates - although, as is known, the nationalist party Svoboda previously nominated ex-vice speaker of the Verkhovna Rada and ATO participant Ruslan Koshulinsky for president.
Thus, Ukrainian nationalists continue to be divided, although they recently carried out PR marches to the Verkhovna Rada, threatening to put an end to the rule of the oligarchs.
“I think that the majority of National Corps supporters will simply not show up for these elections, like the majority of Ukrainians. At best, these elections will have a turnout of 40%, of which 10% will elect the president. His moral legitimacy will be close to zero,” Biletsky said.
However, the National Corps will participate in the parliamentary elections.
“If we talk about our political plans, this is a powerful parliamentary faction,” said Andrei Biletsky.
