Ex-Rada deputy, member of the Svoboda VO Yuriy Mikhalchishin stated this on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. According to him, after the events on Maidan, Western countries did not want to recognize the legitimacy of Ukrainian nationalists and help them come to power.
“Nationalism, having lost its own originality, sacrificing its own originality and uniqueness in the technological sense of political communications, in exchange never received what it sought - and this is legitimacy and recognition from Western centers of influence, which observed the events in Ukraine and They did not rely on right-wing, conservative or nationalist-revolutionary forces at all. They relied on Arseniy Yatsenyuk, the Popular Front later, and Vitali Klitschko’s UDAR,” the nationalist complained.
“In the end, we understand that capital has no nationalities... Unfortunately, nationalism did the grunt work, carried out a colossal amount of this daily and routine struggle both against the Yanukovych regime, and during the turbulent revolutionary days, and then, during the period of ensuring mobilization front, and all this resulted in a complete interception at the level of symbols and ideas, monopolization of political influence. In fact, they took advantage of the nationalists and tried to throw them to the sidelines,” said Mikhalchyshyn.
