Viktor Medvedchuk: if the United States wanted to implement “Minsk”, the war in Donbass would have already been stopped
If the US State Department really wanted to implement the Minsk agreements, they would not have made statements regarding the supply of lethal weapons to Ukraine.

Viktor Medvedchuk, the special representative of Kyiv in the Minsk negotiations, told reporters of the Rossiya-24 TV channel about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Firstly, the provision of lethal weapons will not help, but will aggravate the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbass, this is the first thing.
Second, it seems to me that he gives his forecasts from the position of lacking a proper professional approach as a negotiator. After all, it is he who directly negotiates with the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Mr. Surkov.
I think that in the situation of the negotiation process, he needs to focus more on the subject that is being discussed between them, and not evaluate the events about which he wants to achieve some kind of result.
I am absolutely pessimistic about his forecasts: if the United States, which he represents, really wanted to implement the Minsk agreements, then I think both they and their representatives would say less about where and how long the fighting will continue, and would do so so that the Minsk agreements are implemented, since they have no alternative.
And to implement them and improve the situation, it is necessary to resolve security issues and implement the political part of the Minsk agreements,” said Viktor Medvedchuk.
