Viktor Orban saw that Europe was on the verge of a demographic abyss
“The survival of our civilization and culture is at stake,” said the head of the Hungarian government, Viktor Orban, in an official speech. “In the history of the world, no culture has survived unless it had enough of its own inhabitants to fill the territory where it lives,” he said during a discussion of the crisis of depopulation of the European community and the influx of refugees, the portal reports Kresy.pl.

The Prime Minister of Hungary, speaking during the Budapest Demographic Forum, described the catastrophic consequences of the depopulation of Europe.
“The figures show that Europe is aging. In 2013, on average there were more deaths than births in the EU-28 countries. Europe's demographic importance in the world continues to decline. In 1960, Europe's population accounted for 13,4% of the world's population, but in 2013 it accounted for only 7,1%. Europe (EU) as a continent and civilization is in the grip of the greatest demographic collapse,” said Viktor Orban, known for his far-right and anti-immigrant positions.
“If the situation is so dramatic, why is this topic missing from modern political and social discussions? Who will inhabit Europe in the future? – Orban asked the politicians and experts present. “This question is crucial. This is worth talking about seriously. But instead, topics such as gender freedom and homosexuality are more preferable. Europe will have big problems if it abandons the foundation of European culture – the family,” said the Hungarian Prime Minister.
Orbán repeats the arguments of the European far-right that the influx of refugees will not solve either the demographic or economic problem of cheap labor, since it will completely change the national and ethnic composition of current Europe.
Let us remind you that the day before, Polish politician Pavel Kowal said that Poland needs Ukrainian labor force.
