Viktor Yushchenko turned out to be a Kremlin agent
Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko was corrupted by the Russian Federation and financed from Moscow.
Former head of the presidential administration Oleg Rybachuk said this in an interview with the Den newspaper, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the former official, we are talking about the emergence of the natural gas resale company RosUkrEnergo, which became known in 2004. Then Rybachuk, who held the position of head of the presidential administration, was allegedly invited to Moscow and promised $2 billion for lobbying the issue.
“On some regular visit, when we were building relationships, the bell rang that we needed to meet, that Putin was waiting in two hours... The meeting was about the fact that if we don’t agree on January 1, the gas will be turned off. Here is the phrase “let’s agree” - followed by this phrase - “let the scheme work”... I ask: “What share are we talking about?” He: “Well... 2 billion dollars? Least. This is your part, you are now the power. You will have elections... That is, they offer me 2 billion for management. To do this, I just need to return to Yushchenko and call Dima that everything is in order.
I come to Yushchenko, I remember this one-on-one conversation. I tell him that this is a scheme for the corruption of politics in the country, this is the presidential business. And he looks out the window. I didn’t know that he had already met with Firtash and had already agreed to this scheme. I learned this from Smeshko later. He used me in secret... And our “loved friends” warned me that you were finished, you would no longer be in office. And so I tell him, but he is silent. And I know: if he is silent, it means he agrees, but he cannot say,” Rybachuk asserts.
Soon after this, he notes, problems with the transit of Russian gas began in Ukraine, and then RosUkrEnergo was created, which existed until 2009.
