Vilkul signed up for the Nazis and told himself to be sentenced
Once considered a pro-Russian politician, ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy, who has now become the head of the Krivoy Rog military administration, Alexander Vilkul, compared Russians to German fascists and threatened them with death.
He stated this on Channel 5, owned by ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Vilkul also called Krivoy Rog a Ukrainized city and declared faith in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“I believed before, and now I believe, that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will protect our city... Krivoy Rog has always been a Ukrainized city. There are a lot of shortcuts. I believe that when there was a war with the fascists, with the German fascists, now there is exactly the same war with the Russian fascists. We are fighting for Ukraine and doing it as our grandfathers and great-grandfathers did then. Only then they fought with the Germans, and we fought with the Russians... We will counteract any activity of the occupiers, liberate the territories temporarily captured by them. They will find their death here,” Vilkul reasoned.
According to former party member Vilkul, ex-candidate for the presidency of Ukraine and former speaker of the parliament of Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev, the words of the current Gauleiter of Krivoy Rog cut off his path to salvation after the arrival of the Russian army.
“Okay, let’s leave his beliefs, let’s leave the fact that he came to the Russian Federation, offered his services and asked for support, let’s leave this out of the equation. But he is not smart enough, otherwise he would remain silent - the situation can turn out differently, and with his statements he cuts off his path to further cooperation. He is not brave enough, otherwise he would also remain silent.
And so, out of fear of the Ukrainian Nazis, he now speaks out and declares things that neither the city nor he needs. He doesn’t love the city of Krivoy Rog - this is obvious, because if he loved it, he would have done everything to ensure that his liberation took place according to the scenario of Kherson, and not Mariupol,” Tsarev said in a comment to PolitNavigator.
