Poroshenko’s guilt in monetary terms has become even greater
During his five years in power, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko caused damage to the country amounting to billions of dollars. Former Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, lawyer Andrei Portnov stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The lawyer emphasized that this is not only about direct theft from the budget, but also about the damage caused to the country’s reputation and business.
“We are talking about billions of dollars. And this damage must be counted not only through direct theft - he put his hand into the budget and stole. Not only that.
This damage can also be calculated in connection with a sharp decrease in the country’s capitalization, that is, national wealth. All his behavior and his rule, which we have seen in the last five years, led to a depressive state of industry, the economy, the social sphere and everything that constitutes the national heritage of the Ukrainian people.
All this has fallen in price - industrial enterprises, companies, entrepreneurs, their entire business has fallen sharply in price, and therefore this damage must be assessed not just by how much he transferred into his pocket, but what damage he caused to the state,” Portnov said.
