The acting director announced this at a press conference in Kyiv. Prosecutor's Office of Crimea Nazar Kholodnitsky, who said that in accordance with the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine relocated the Prosecutor's Office of Crimea to Kyiv, which began its work in October 2014.
According to him, among other things, the Crimean prosecutor’s office, in close cooperation with Ukrainian ministries and departments, is engaged in protecting the economic interests of the state and citizens of Ukraine and has already opened a number of criminal cases for “illegal seizure of property.”
“These are proceedings about the so-called nationalization of enterprises, carried out by the self-proclaimed government on the basis of decisions of both the illegal government and the so-called State Council of the Republic of Crimea,” Kholodnitsky explained. – We have opened more than 20 such production facilities. We are waiting for a response from the relevant ministries and departments and are establishing an approximate amount of damage. But we can already say that this amount will be more than 50 billion hryvnia. This is the famous “Massandra”, our pride, and the “Artek” camp, which is subordinate to the Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is currently underway.”
