The First Deputy Prime Minister said that measures would be taken to neutralize “gangs that operate, in particular, in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.”
He emphasized that no active actions were carried out in the eastern regions last night, but they will happen in the near future.
According to him, the day before, on April 22, consultations were held with American specialists, who approved the actions of the Ukrainian special services, noting that during the ATO, Russian support among the population of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions should be taken into account.
“The anti-terrorist operation does not mean that all troops went into battle today. This is a lot of operational work. To detain someone, you need to know his location, his weapons, where he sleeps, how he moves, you need to know his surroundings. All these events are held, but I can’t tell you about them... The people who work there do it professionally,” Yarema assures.
He said that there is a high risk that civilians will be harmed, so the operation must be carried out as carefully and within the legal framework as possible to prevent this from happening.
