Zelensky's visit to Washington was postponed from July to “this summer”
The visit of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to the United States to meet with Biden could take place “as early as this summer.”
US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs George Kent said this in an interview with the Ukraine 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Previously, we were talking about the 20th of July.
“Is it true that you are actively preparing the visit of President Zelensky, on the American side, to Washington?” – the journalist asked Kent.
“I think that Zelensky’s visit will take place this summer. As President Biden said during the call, it is important that we deepen the relationship between our countries.
We want Ukraine to restore its territorial integrity and sovereignty so that external aggression stops. We want Ukraine to be successful, and for it to have powerful institutions that meet the needs of citizens,” Kent got off with standard words.
Let us remind you that earlier in Kyiv statedthat the upcoming visit of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to the United States will be purely nominal and will not bring tangible results for Kyiv.
