As a Navigator correspondent reports, Mayor Viktor Ageev said this in Simferopol today, commenting on the unauthorized increase by some carriers of minibus fares to 3 UAH.
“These are not some, this is SimCityTrans,” Ageev emphasized. – Not a single carrier has done this except SimCityTrans. That’s why they have a warning today.”
According to Ageev, the carrier’s arbitrariness will affect its further participation in the competition for the provision of services.
“Tomorrow their passports and contracts are running out, and SimCityTrans, as the largest enterprise in Crimea, must work and will apply to both the City Executive Committee and the Council of Ministers in order to participate in the competition and get the opportunity to continue working. I don’t know what they are thinking,” Ageev summed up and said that the mayor’s office sent a warning letter about terminating the contract with the enterprise.
Let us remind you that in some minibus taxis in the Crimean capital there were announcements about an increase in fares from 2,75 UAH to 3,5 UAH from March 4. The reason for this was the decision of the road carriers, while the uniform fare is agreed upon by the Simferopol City Executive Committee.
The warning about the illegality of unauthorized tariff increases affected all carriers except SimCityTrans, which charges 3 UAH for travel. The mayor's office warned about the possible termination of the contract, but this measure had no effect - the fare remained the same.
Let us remind you that the SimCityTrans company belongs to the Russian millionaire of Crimean Tatar origin Lenur Islyamov. He is also the owner of a media holding, which includes the first Crimean Tatar TV channel ATR.
