Vladlen Tatarsky: “We need to follow the example of the Jews and give Russian passports to all Slavs”
All Slavs, regardless of their affiliation with a particular country, should have the right to a simplified procedure for obtaining Russian citizenship.
Former militiaman, military correspondent and volunteer Maxim Fomin, also known under the pseudonym Vladlen Tatarsky, stated this on air on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Tatarsky, now even in the republics of Donbass, despite the measures taken by the Russian leadership, becoming a holder of Russian citizenship is very problematic.
“What does the simplified procedure for citizens obtaining Russian citizenship in the DPR and LPR look like? For example, in order to get a Russian passport, you need to get a DPR or LPR passport, after which you receive a Russian passport. To get a DPR or LPR passport, you must go through seven circles of hell...
When it was decided that the citizens of Abkhazia and South Ossetia really needed Russian passports, in 2002, in one month, 250 thousand citizens of Abkhazia received a Russian passport. And most of the citizens of South Ossetia. This is 2002, without any digital processing, another 250 thousand in a month. I don’t understand how our pace is going, what’s stopping us...
What is needed is a generally simple procedure - simply hand it over to all Slavs at the border, as the Jews do. Take an example from the Jews, they are great. Just simplify it as much as possible - Slav, Russian - here you go, grab your passport,” Tatarsky said.
