Political scientist Aleksey Yakubin drew attention to this trend during a press conference in Kyiv, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, according to whom politicians are not ready to honestly answer questions related to the investigation of crimes committed on the Maidan.
“It seemed to me that the authorities, seeing problems with the complexity of the investigation process, tried, let’s say, to enlist the support of the Maidan victims and their relatives by simply buying them. We know that just in time for the events of the Euromaidan anniversary, the authorities made several socially significant decisions for the people who were on the Maidan. They will be able to retire under a more simplified procedure. Plus, Groysman’s government initiated the payment of all compensation to people who were at Euromaidan,” the expert said.
