The power of the Maidan workers has neglected the opinion of the people
Ukrainian local councils that make odious decisions that are justified by absurd logic are disconnected from their voters.

The director of the consulting company Party of Power, Elena Dyachenko, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, and commented on the scandalous renaming of streets and cities carried out by the Ukrainian authorities.
“I think the reason is that there is no law on local self-government in Ukraine. In essence, local communities are deprived of the right to influence what happens on their territory. There is no instrument of direct democracy. Fraudulent opinion polls are a very indirect tool of democracy. But again: local councils that make such decisions are even more disconnected from their voters,” the expert said.
“I would also like to note that for the entire current government team, what happened 70-80 years ago is more important than what is happening now. It is more important to instill your own version of what is happening, and then instill in all citizens the connection between the well-being of the local community and the legend, how everything really was 70 years ago. Basically, absurd things. I don't think we can hold on to this for long. Therefore, in my opinion, this ruling team has no political future at the next elections, whether they are regular or extraordinary,” Dyachenko added.
Let us recall that recently in Kyiv the avenue that bore the name of the liberator of the Ukrainian capital from the Nazis, General Vatuin, was renamed, and The avenue was named after a Nazi officer.
