The fields for which licenses expire this year account for 20% of Ukrnafta's oil production and 16% of its gas production.

The trade union of the enterprise, which organized the action, submitted a letter to the Cabinet of Ministers with demands, among which - to instruct the State Geological and Natural Resources Agency to extend for 20 years the validity of special permits for Ukrnafta for the use of subsoil at Zavodovsky, Korzhevsky, Kozievsky, Yugo-Panasovsky, Anastasovsky, Artyukhovsky, Rybachy , Lipovodolinskoye and Kachalovskoye fields.

Oil workers also demand from the Cabinet of Ministers, which carries out the functions of managing the corporate rights of the state in the authorized capital of Ukrnafta, to consider and approve the plan for the financial recovery of the company proposed by the board of the enterprise and the strategic program for socio-economic development for the period until 2025 to preserve jobs and the labor potential of the enterprise .
Currently, production at six fields has already stopped due to non-renewal of licenses.

“Two days ago, Groysman reported: we have been living without Russian gas for 600 days. I want to report to him: we have been living without Akhtyrka gas, without Ukrainian gas, for 100 days. If this continues, I don’t understand what kind of energy independence we are talking about. I don’t understand what prospects Ukraine has. Do we have visa-free travel and should we go to wells in Europe?” said Sergei Nasednikov, a representative of the NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine trade union.

Oil workers are quitting due to lack of funding. The head of the trade union organization of the Gnedintsevsky gas processing plant, Tatyana Levchenko, said that out of the thousand-strong staff of the enterprise, 843 people remained.

“Our families are oil workers; the husband and wife work. Where should we go? There’s a village there, there’s nowhere to go,” she said. – You don’t see what’s happening in the teams – people who are ready to close the valves and block the routes. Everyone is afraid of being unemployed. What is it like for young people to leave the country and go to Poland? What are we heading towards? Don’t think it’s that easy to train an operator,” he complained.

“With the tacit consent of all branches of government in Ukraine, the tacit destruction of the oil industry is underway, the process of possible bankruptcy of one of the largest enterprises in the oil industry is underway,” Igor Kopach, head of the united trade union organization of Ukrnafta employees, added to reporters.
