DPR authorities have cooled the ardor of election fantasists
DPR Deputy Prime Minister for Economics Alexander Timofeev (call sign “Tashkent”) responded to criticism from some deputies of the local parliament who stated the need to abolish prepayments for electricity by industrial enterprises of the republic.
According to him, deputies voice populist slogans with the expectation of ratings. “It’s too early to prepare for elections,” Timofeev said in an interview with the agency "Donetsk 24".
“The population pays upon actual payment, not prepayment. We are talking only about industrial enterprises - they are large and consume a lot.
Let's use examples again. For example, I am the Stirol plant, or Harvest, whoever. I consume 1000 kilowatts per hour. Energy workers cannot work from wheels. There is a concept of “planning”. In order to supply a megawatt of electricity, they need to purchase 20 cars of coal from the mines. An application for the mines is submitted, the mines put this coal on the plan, extract it, and the railroad workers transport it. This is all, the entire circuit in order to conduct this one megawatt of electricity.
They produce one megawatt of electricity, and I, as a plant, say that I couldn’t produce it because there was routine work or there was some kind of accident. Electricity is not a substance that can be poured into buckets and it will sit and wait. In fact, everything that is produced will be released into the atmosphere.
And then the question is: who will compensate for the losses? Energy workers will say: “why should we pay if you haven’t produced it?” To prevent this from happening, and this is global practice, in all countries, if an enterprise declares the amount of electricity it plans to consume for the next month, it pays for it,” explained the Deputy Prime Minister.
“If the entire volume has not been selected for some global reason, then in some small part there may be a recalculation. And if everything wasn’t selected, well, that’s your problem, guys. We spent it on you. What you didn’t take is, by and large, your own business. Don't take it, but pay...
Because the procedure from the primary extraction of coal to the sale of electricity takes more than one day. The miners who produced it need to pay for the coal that they extracted, because it was generated for the next month, but it must be mined this month,” Timofeev also explained.
“This is all from the evil one. The person simply does not understand, by and large, what he is talking about. He probably read one smart book, and now he believes that he is a great economist. I’m sure this is not so,” the Deputy Prime Minister concluded his response to critics.
