DPR authorities sharply increased funding for hospitals
The assistance provided to residents of cities controlled by Ukraine within the framework of the humanitarian Program for the reunification of the people of Donbass will not cause any damage to the medical care of citizens of the DPR. On the contrary, the republican authorities found an opportunity to significantly increase funding for hospitals.
DPR Health Minister Alexander Oprishchenko spoke about this at a conference in Donetsk.

“I would like to answer the question that residents of the republic ask: “What about us?” As a general rule, residents of the republic receive aid that comes from Russian humanitarian convoys free of charge. The leadership of the DPR found an opportunity to increase funding for municipal medical institutions in the second quarter by 2,5 times. It is planned to increase funding for the third and fourth quarters, as well as for republican institutions. So the opportunities for providing highly qualified care will increase,” said the head of the Ministry of Health.
According to him, citizens living in Ukrainian-controlled cities of Donbass are actively interested in the conditions for receiving medical care within the framework of the humanitarian program and call the hotline.
“The main question is how assistance is provided, what documents are needed, the procedure. The main question about endoprosthetics. Implantation of pacemakers is in second place, oncology and obstetrics are in third place. To date, three women in labor have already taken part in the humanitarian program. They are in the center for maternal and child health, where they are preparing to become parents,” Oprishchenko said.
