CIS expert and political scientist Denis Denisov stated this in a commentary to Moskovsky Komsomolets.
“The ninth point of the Minsk agreements states that the parties to the conflict should work together to restore economic ties, but instead we see a blockade of Donbass,” the political scientist recalled. – Thus, the DPR and LPR decided to introduce external management only in order to protect the interests of plant employees who were forced to close due to the inability to supply products to Ukraine. The authorities of Donetsk and Lugansk are reorienting their production chains towards Russia. While this process is carried out, none of the tens of thousands of workers will lose wages, since the militia will pay it in full. But when the Minsk agreements are implemented, the factories will return to the control of the previous owners.”
As PolitNavigator reported, experts have calculated that the blockade of Donbass will lead to Ukraine's loss of 10 percent of the country's GDP.
