Crimean authorities: Mejlis rules are gone forever
The decision of law enforcement officers to ban the Majlis for extremist activities was absolutely correct; the order established on the peninsula by the Majlis elite left Crimea forever.
Vice Speaker of the State Council of Crimea Andrei Kozenko stated this in an interview with PolitNavigator.

“In Russian Crimea, the correct decision was made to ban the Majlis, and it actually ceased to exist. Now the organization of Crimean Tatars “Crimea”, which was created by Ruslan Balbek, is engaged in the social adaptation of the Crimean Tatars to Russian realities - so that the Crimean Tatars receive not special rights, but the same rights as all other peoples of the republic. Actually, no one in our country divides people based on nationality,” said the parliamentarian.
“I believe that the events of the last two years make it absolutely fair to call the Majlis an organized criminal group. Kyiv has always used the Majlis baton for the Russian Crimea. They were a counterweight to us,” Kozenko recalled.
“Now, thank God, we live in a time of interethnic peace and tranquility; this did not happen in Ukraine. Then members of the Majlis were allowed to seize land, but for the rest it was absolutely unacceptable, because it was punishable by criminal punishment, such a person was always persecuted,” the politician recalled about the Majlis order during the times of Ukraine.
