The Crimean authorities increased the cost of renting a building in Simferopol to the “Kyiv Patriarchate”
Simferopol, April 18 (Navigator, Astra Yazyka) – The State Council of Crimea canceled the preferential rate for renting a building in the center of Simferopol for the “Kiev Patriarchate”, unrecognized in the Orthodox world, which had previously received premises for 50 years in a building on Sevastopolskaya Street-17, in the former House officers.
As a Navigator correspondent reports, the adopted resolution excluded the clause on the methodology for calculating rent at a preferential rate for housing the administration of the diocese.

The Property Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan was instructed to amend the lease agreement with the Crimean Diocesan Administration of the UOC-KP regarding the amount of payment.
Earlier, the head of the information department of the UOC-KP Evstratiy Zorya stated that the “Kiev Patriarchate” is not going to curtail its activities in Crimea even if the peninsula is annexed by Russia. “We already have our own dioceses registered on the territory of Russia, so I think there will be no problems with the registration of the Crimean diocese,” he said.
