Russian manufacturers began to actively use the “Crimea” brand to popularize their products. However, they are not always of high quality and often have nothing to do with the peninsula.
So, products appeared on the shelves under the names “Crimean GOST”, “Crimean woman”, “Yalta popsicle”, “Crimean delicacy” and so on.

“This name is often used to disguise goods that have nothing to do with the peninsula. Moreover, they have nothing in common even with the city of Krymsky in the Krasnodar Territory. The consumer simply unconsciously reaches out and takes a product with a tempting name with the idea that he is supporting the Crimean manufacturer, but in reality he is buying a dubious product with quality that does not inspire confidence,” notes the local publication “Krymskaya Gazeta”.
At the same time, the republican authorities plan to expel such producers from the territory of the peninsula.
“Anyone can come under the brand of Crimean products, but we will not allow this. We will say goodbye to these bad people in Crimea and not allow them to work,” said Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Yuri Gotsanyuk.
