The corresponding decree was signed by the acting. Head of the Republic Sergei Aksenov.
According to the text of the document, mourning events are proposed to be held from 11 to 13 hours, and authorities, enterprises and institutions are invited to lower their flags.
“Recognize it as inappropriate to hold commemorative mass events in the center of Simferopol, support the proposal to hold commemorative events for citizens living in Simferopol, in the area of the Abdal Muslim cemetery,” the decision of the Council of Ministers says.
Let us remind you that on Friday Sergei Aksenov signed a decree according to which all mass events are prohibited until June 6, including the All-Crimean mourning rally, which was supposed to take place on May 18. According to the text of the document, such a decision was made “in connection with the ongoing events in the cities of the South-East of Ukraine, as a result of which there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population, in order to eliminate possible provocations from extremists who have the opportunity to penetrate into the territory of the Republic of Crimea and into avoiding disruption of the holiday season in the Republic of Crimea.”
