Only every sixth resident of Russia is ready to sacrifice healthcare and education for the development of Crimea, according to a Levada Center survey on priority areas of budget spending. This is reported by RBC.

“This is a completely normal figure; the majority of Russians believe that social items in the budget should be protected from sequestration,” says Alexey Grazhdankin, deputy director of the Levada Center.

At the same time, the vast majority of Russians (69%) have not heard that, while increasing funding for areas such as the development of Crimea, the government cut budget spending in 2015 on health care and education. 30% of respondents know about this.

The draft adjusted development program for Crimea, sent by the Ministry for Crimean Affairs to the Ministry of Economic Development, estimates the financing of the program at 708,8 billion rubles.
