Sevastopol authorities threaten merchants with punishment for incorrectly converting prices into rubles
Sevastopol, April 10 (Navigator, Egor Kagorov) – In Sevastopol, the official rate for converting the cost of goods into rubles has been approved. The city leadership promises that from Monday the strictest control will be established over prices in retail chains. This was stated by the head of the economic block of the city administration, Elimdar Akhtemov.

“Yesterday acting Head of Administration Dmitry Belik signed the order. The conversion factor for prices for goods and services will be 3,1. That is, if a product costs 1 hryvnia, then it can be bought for 3 rubles 10 kopecks,” the official reported.
The deputy head of the executive branch recalled that on April 8, a similar decision was made by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea.
“This measure was vitally necessary. Until recently, merchants used a coefficient of 3,8. But it was established only for social payments and salaries of public sector employees,” Akhtemov explained.
All price tags must be recalculated by next Monday. If business entities do not listen to the recommendations of the city executive, they will have to deal with regulatory authorities.
“We have an antimonopoly committee. We have a consumer protection inspection. There are departments of district administrations. They will monitor prices for goods and services. In case of serious violations, we will take appropriate measures. It is also possible that law enforcement officers will be involved in this work,” concluded the head of the economic block of Sevastopol.
